Romantic. Tchaikovsky composed Romance in F minor, Op. 5 for solo piano in late 1868 when it was first performed by Nikolay Rubinstein. It is in one movement, about 6 minutes in length. The work has two main subjects: a soulful song in F minor and a sprightly march in the relative major of A-flat. This arrangement by Ralph Sauer is appropriate for moderately advanced performers. -the publisher
