| The charts below compare the popular Melodious Etudes for Trombone books by Johannes Rochut as published by Carl Fischer to later editions of the same material by Benny Sluchin (published by Tezak Editions) and David Schwartz. In the left hand column are Bordogni's original etude numbers. These same numbers are used in the Sluchin and Schwartz editions. In the center column are the corresponding Rochut numbers. Thus, the original etude number 2 corresponds directly to Rochut number 2. Similarly, the original number 13 appears in Rochut as number 14 with the key changed from the original Bb to B. Unless otherwise noted, all Rochut edition keys are identical to the original. The Sluchin edition has a piano accompaniment book available for each of the volumes shown, with the solo line indicated in concert C treble clef. |
