Similar to the original, traditional Marcus Bonna tenor case, but nearly 6 inches shorter. The exterior shape of the case is unique as there is not a traditional flared end for the bell. Rather, the case gradually widens to accommodate the bell without being obvious. I've heard it said that it looks somewhat like an oversized viola case, which might make it easier to get aboard an aircraft as a carry-on. It will fit nicely in overhead compartments.
This is a truly unique design. Inside, the bell section sits safely far back from the front wall so that a straight mute (or similar) can be inserted while in the case. With the bell set so far back, some instruments with long F attachment tuning slides may initially be too long for the case. To offset this, Bonna has provided a special tuning slide pocket so that you can remove and store your F slide (see enlarged photo number 1), thus making the bell section shorter. The hand slide is stored behind the bell and ample spaces are available for storage of small accessories. A detachable exterior music carrier is included. -cdp
