    Romantic. A beautiful, singing piece originally written for horn by Richard Strauss' father, Franz. The elder Strauss was the solo horn of the Hofopera in Munich, where he played the premieres of Wagner's Tristan, Die Meistersinger and Parsifal. Mark Lawrence recorded this piece on his CD "Trombonology". This version is written in tenor clef. -cdp
