    Titan, The

21st Century (2014). The inspiration for the concerto comes from Greek mythology and in particular Atlas, who after being defeated by the Olympians, was forced by Zeus to hold up the celestial spheres for eternity. The first movement, titled "The Immortal", is a description of Atlas, stout hearted, primordial, large, un-fearing, and of course, immortal. The second movement is about his daughter, Aegle and her mourning for the murder of her pet three-headed dragon by Hercules in the Garden of Stone. The final movement, "The War", is the battle of the gods between the Titans and the Olympians. -the publisher
