    Modern Jazz Trumpet Method, The

    The purpose of this book is to offer a well-rounded, systematic approach to practice for the aspiring jazz trumpeter. It is not intended to replace the traditional methods, but to supplement and enhance them. This method is divided into four sections: scale patterns; arpeggios, intervals, and range building. Each consists of 20 exercises, one exercise from each section to focus upon for a one or two week period. Other topics explored are cyclic practice, turns, false trills, improvisation, range, andmuch more.
