    Complete Beginning & Intermediate Method

All elements of music notation and trumpet technique are systematically presented and explained via 200 studies plus a series of warm-ups and lip drills. No set lesson format, so each student may progress at his/her own pace.

This method develops the student's range from low F-sharp to high B-flat and covers the major keys from four flats to four sharps, rhythmic notation from whole notes and rests to sixteenths, metric notation including 2/4, 3/4, 6/8, common and cut time, slurring and staccato articulation and dynamic marking. In addition the scale studies and warm-up and lip-slur exercises at the back of the book are designed to progressively strengthen the learner's lip and breathing muscles. Instructions on which of these exercises to practice are periodically placed among the 200 studies so that the student's physical development keeps pace with his/her musical training. 32 pages. - the composer

Robert E Fuller was born in New York, taught at McGill University in Montreal and has performed with many professional ensembles throughout Canada and the U.S. such as the Montreal Symphony, Grand Ballet of Canada, Tudor Brass Quintet, and many more.
