These 25 studies are indispensable to the student desiring to master the intricate meters used in 20th century music of such composers as Bela Bartok, Randall Thompson, Benjamin Britten, Serge Prokofiev, Igor Stravinsky, and Dimitri Shostakovitch. The following meters are explored: 2/2, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 7/4, 9/4, 2/8, 3/8, 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8, 6/16, 9/16, 10/16, 11/16, 12/16, 15/16.
