Romantic. The final opera of Wagner's immense work of genius, the "Ring Cycle" is "Goetterdaemmerung." The Immolation Scene occurs in the final part of Act 3, where Bruennhilde lights a pyre and the ensuing flames bring down the Hall of the gods, consuming all within it as the curtain falls.
