Finale from Symphony No 2 - Choral Excerpt (Fetter)

The finale movement of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 2, (also known as the "Resurrection"), is a monumental and awe-inspiring composition that serves as the climax of the entire symphony. It is a grand choral movement that combines orchestral forces with vocal soloists and a large choir.

In this exquisite section of hushed, whispered, and mysterious music, arranged beautifully by David Fetter, the famous Choral section from the Finale (numbers 32-39 in the score) is set for 8-part trombone ensemble. This powerful section of the Finale isemotionally charged and yet is performed at almost a whisper.

This arrangement of about 6-minutes in length is suitable for advanced performers. FYI....this is NOT the famous trombone chorale, rather the hushed, whispered section featuring the chorus. It is truly a work of genius. - the publisher
