    Arabesque & Dance Bohemienne (Sauer)

19th Century. "Arabesque and Danse Bohemienne" are two early piano works by Claude Debussy that Ralph Sauer has melded together into a suite for trombone and piano appropriate for moderately advanced performers.

"Arabesque" is number one of two that the composer wrote between 1888 and 1891. It is one of the very early impressionist pieces of music. Debussy seems to wander through modes and keys and achieves evocative scenes throughout. (Wikipedia)

"Danse Boh‚mienne" is his earliest work for piano from 1880, written while he was acting as house pianist for Tchaikovsky's patroness, Nadezhad von Meck. It is a rhythmic and energetic work that was not published until after Debussy's death. - the publisher
