    Baroque. Bach's "Little" Fugue in G minor, BWV 578 for organ was written in the first decade of the 18th century while he was working at Arnstadt. It is one of his best known works and has been arranged for numerous types of ensembles including a full-blown one for symphony orchestra by Leopold Stokowski. Mr. Tempest has arranged this work for 11-part brass ensemble with the following instrumentation: 4 trumpets, 2 horns, 3 trombones, euphonium and tuba. Trumpet 1 is in D. Trumpet 4 is flugelhorn. This work is about 4 minutes in length and appropriate for moderately advanced performers. -the publisher
