20th Century. The Dance of the Miller is from the ballet The Three-Cornered Hat by Manuel de Falla. It was composed in 1916-17 from a commission by Sergei Diaghilev. The music is passionate, full of lush Spanish harmonies and rhythms. Charles Decker has captured the style of the music in his arrangement for standard brass quintet.
