Once our students have a firm grasp of the basics on guitar, voice, bass, drums, keys or horns, Rock Band is the next step. Each student is assigned a band with others of shared ability and musical interests, and meet once a week for 90 minutes. They'll work with an instructor and learn everything that goes into playing in a band; from putting your first songs together, to performance and recording a demo. Our instructors are passionate teachers, who are also experienced in rehearsing, performing and promoting their own bands.
Performance is an integral part of Rock School. Performances are scheduled throughout the year at local festivities, fundraisers and events, in addition to our annual Rock School Review at local club The Haunt, where students have the opportunity to play the big stage under the bright lights in front of their families and friends and the community.
Students learn how to be a valuable member of a band: how to listen to others, read charts, create song arrangements, and balance volume levels.
New Bands will start the week of September 14th and run for a minimum 12-week session, performing at the Fall 2017 Rock School Review at The Haunt in December.
Fee: $135/month ($405 for the 12-week session)
