Boismortier, Joseph (Coulter) Sonata No 6 in Cm, op 91

Tuba Solos w/Piano

  • Boismortier, Joseph (Coulter)

Sonata No 6 in Cm, op 91 (Coulter)

Baroque. Boismortier's Six Sonatas for Flute and Harpsichord Op. 91 were first published in Paris in 1742 as an homage to flutist Michel Blavet and are probably his finest and most popular pieces. Robert Coulter's arrangement for tuba nd piano of Sonata No. 6 in C minor shows off the technical and expressive skills of the performers. The Sonata (Fast - Moderate - Minuet I & II) is about 11 minutes in length with all repeats (optional) and is appropriate for moderately advanced performers and a joy to perform. -the publisher
