    Renaissance. For 4 trumpets (trumpet 1 doubles piccolo, trumpets 3 & 4 double flugelhorn); 4 horns; 4 trombones (trombone 3 doubles euphonium, trombone 4 is bass); tuba, and percussion (3 players).

    In 1551 while residing in Antwerp, Susato composed a collection of sixty popular dances entitled La Danserye for a four-part instrumental group. Andrew Poirier has selected and arranged eight of these dances for 13-part symphonic brass ensemble with percussion for advanced performers. Movements include La Mourisque; Bergeret; Les Quatre Branles; Trombonen; Den hoboecken dans; Ronde & Aliud; Basse danse: Mon desir; Pavane: La Battaille. Mr. Poirier's arrangement is the first for this sized group and is dedicated to the Vancouver Brass Orchestra debut performance in 2019. -the publisher/cdp
