Similar to the 51, but with a slightly flatter number 4 rim. Note: This model has an old style Elkhart Conn "Remington" shank. It's a little longer than a traditional Bach (Morse taper) shank. It gives a proper fit for all the old Conn 8H and 88H large bore trombones made before the 1980's. This is the shank that all Schilke large shank mouthpieces used until 2008, when they were changed to Bach shanks. - the manufacturer/cdp
