Trombone Case
The SKB model 462 case is the strongest case we've seen for tenor trombone (no bass trombone model is yet available). This case will fit most makes and models of small, medium & large tenors with either standard or open wraps (instruments with Thayer valves or other oversize rotary type valves, such as the Conn-Lindberg, and Yamaha 682 will not fit correctly). The interior is burgundy plush lined with a pleasant vanilla fragarance. The bell area is shaped to fit most tenor trombone bells very nicely (up to 8.5 inches in diameter). A small cloth compartment on the outside of the case can hold accessories, while an internal compartment with a hinged door holds mouthpieces and other items. This heavy duty case is not officially labeled a "flightcase" by SKB or Hickeys, but it has been used with success by many folks who travel and need to check their horns as baggage. For even more protection when traveling, we suggest the use of a styrofoam cone in the bell (available at many crafts stores) to further prevent bell rim damage. Made in USA.

WolfPak WKTBNL
Trombone Case w/legs
The Wolfpak case provides excellent protection in a small package, remaining light (maximum 8.7 pounds empty) and convenient to use as well. Unlike other cases, the Wolkpak loads from the bell end, opening like a golf bag. The slide is stored in a permanantly attached, thickly padded sock inside the main compartment. The bell slides in alongside the slide and is well padded all around. The case itself is a hard plastic tube with a gradual bell flare, sheathed in fabric, with a zip-on hard lid at the bell end. A small accessory compartment is located on the exterior of the case at the "foot." There are two models available - with legs (36403) and without (36402). Legged models are more convenient to load and unload as the legs keep the open end of the case up off the ground. The legless model has an advantage in that it weighs a full pound less. Both models can be used for just about any tenor with a bell of up to 8.5" in diameter, with most valve and wrap combinations. A bass model is not available.
