Our Rental Plan |
Hickey's Music Center offers a simple, economical School Year rental plan. Over the years this has been the most popular of all the plans we've offered. It offers a single payment, low fee and no further billing until the end of the school year (June 20th of the next year). You pay once and you may use the instrument until then. You can trade it in against the purchase of a new instrument if you like and use the rental paid towards the purchase price. The School Year plan is available starting August 15th until December 31st. Our School Year plan offers...
- Make one payment for the entire school year (ends June 20th of the next year) payable at the start of the rental.
- This is our most economical plan, with most instruments working out to only $9.90 per month.*
- You may use the rental portion of your payment (total less tax and any POM warranty) towards the purchase of a new instrument from our stock at any time during the rental or within 30 days of its end.
- You are never obligated to purchase an instrument.
- The instrument can be returned at any time (however there is no refund for unused rental time).
- Exchanges are free for string instruments moving from one size to another.
- This is not a rent-to-own program. These rental instruments are not for sale.
- These instruments are used instruments in good repair and playing condition.
- Payments are not cumulative—if you rent for more than one school year, only your latest payment counts towards a purchase.

* The base rate for "Standard" flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, violins, violas and some percussion is $99, which works out to $9.90 per month over a ten month rental (August 15th thru to June 20th). Entire fee must be paid in full at the start of the rental. The amount $9.90 represents rental only and does not include POM Warranty or sales tax.
