Woodwinds - Standard Repair Descriptions
Basic Service
- Reseat pads as needed
- Rough out minor accessible dents
- Replace key corks as needed
- Regulation of key mechanism
- Lubrication of key mechanism
- Ultrasonic cleaning of mouthpiece, neck or head joint as applicable
- Play test instrument
- Cost of parts not included in service price.
- Prices may be higher if additional parts such as springs or screws are needed, or for heavily damaged instruments.

Repad/Mechanical Overhaul
- Disassemble instrument
- Remove dents as needed
- Replace all pads, corks & felts
- Replace springs as needed
- Oil, adjust and regulate key mechanism
- Shim loose posts and tighten rings as needed
- Clean body and keys
- Play test instrument
- Cost of parts (beyond pads & bumpers) not included in service price.
