The original work, correctly entitled "Contrapunctus 13 Inversus, Alio Modo Fuga a 2 Clavier," is an arrangement by Bach himself of Contrapunctus 13-1 for two harpsichords. (Note: this publication indicates the title as "Contrapunctus 18." This we believe to be an error.) The trombone part is labeled for euphonium, but is absolutely performable upon trombone.
