Clair de Lune, from Suite Bergamasque (Marlatt)

The third and most famous movement of Suite Bergamasque is Clair de lune, meaning "moonlight" in French. The use of cup mutes contrasted by the warm sound of the flugel horns creates a wonderful color and sonority. The percussion is optional but would add yet another color to the ensemble. This arrangement was premiered at the 0 International Trumpet Guild Conference. - the Publisher

Four trumpets, 2 flugel horns, vibraphone, triangle and suspended cymbal. Optional Eb trumpet part included for trumpet 1 which could be helpful with some of the larger leaps in the upper register. In Db major (concert key). Duration: 4:10 minutes. Score and parts included. - PC
