Suite Espanola, op. 47 is a suite of four movements for solo piano written in 1886 in honor of the Queen of Spain. After the composer's death, his editor added an additional four movements to the piece. 21st Century (2013). Vallflickans Dans is taken from Hugo Alfven's ballet Bergakungen (The Mountain King) that focuses on the same figure as Grieg's popular "In the Hall of the Mountain King." Vallflickans Dans translates roughly as "Dance of the Herdmaiden," and is a showpiece for the first violins in the original orchestral instrumentation.

Amusing variations on Happy Birthday in a variety of styles, meters and key signatures. Moderate range-primarily on the staff. Fairly continuous playing with a few short piano breaks.
